Gambia Farm, Water & School Project
Welcome to the Gambia Farm, Water & School(s) Project. Thank you for supporting people develop food, water and education opportunity.
This project is dedicated to developing a safe clean environment, good sources of food, clean water, electricity and education opportunities to the impoversihed people of Brikama Gambia.
Providing immediate relief in aligning donations and sponsorship dollars to purchase land, fencing, animals, tools, labourers, bricks, and building materials, pumps for water and heating lamps for hens, medication and vaccination costs for the farm animals, and longer term infrastructure and capacity development for our project partner Bambo Property Farms to provide service.
Project management, management coaching, consulting and funds administration is provided by the Project Blue World Project Management Grant. Project Managers are provided through the Project Management Institute of Manitoba Projects for Social Goods program. Thank you to these and other volunteers, staff, suppliers, donors, sponsors and partners.
Goal
GoalTo develop sustainable source of food and fresh water, education, jobs and opportunity for orphans and impoverished youth, people of Brikama, Gambia
Expected Result
Development of community garden and market space, includes purchase of land site, build of 2 barns, storage shed, purchase and coordination of gardening supplies, animals, feed, incubators, tools and equipment for farming. Also included is the build of a primary and secondary school house with installation of a water borehole, water and electrical system.
